I'm a very satisfied user. The support is pretty good, considering the price.

Contact me if you want to know more ;)

Re: My overly irritating $80 Wordpress theme adventure

I finally FINALLY got it worked out but on another site. I'll stick to this theme here. So you'll see Revolution elsewhere. Documentation is weird and forums are just ick, but got it solved eventually.

Re: My overly irritating $80 Wordpress theme adventure

The support forum is growing for Revolution Theme, including Pro Media. http://www.revolutiontheme.com/support/

I've been playing around with Rev Pro Media since purchasing it a few months ago. One thing I've seen many people overlook (and me too!) at the time of installation is activating all of the plug ins that came with the theme. If the answers you're looking for are not in the forums, you may want to ask Shane of http://www.barefeetstudios.com/ whom has also been using Rev Pro Media.

Hope this helps!

Aloha,
NEENZ.

Re: My overly irritating $80 Wordpress theme adventure

yeah, i love the look of these magazine layouts. Trust me. I am doing Drupal since Drupal 2 (I can quit any time I want, honest), and one huff of the good stuff and I am smiling for hours.

Re: My overly irritating $80 Wordpress theme adventure

I love Revolution and Mimbo for exactly the reasons you mention - they're not goofy and bloggy looking.

the way I see it, there's so many of us now using WP as a basic cms for our websites that designers should take that as an opportunity to create magazine/media looking designs. for the same dividends as the free bloggy templates - fame, prestige and eventually paying work.

If they're going to charge you for a design they better damned well provide adequate documentation and supporting material. What currently makes certain themes "best" is exactly that - they're stable and they have loads of documentation. Like, anything by Andreas Viklund (sp?) for example - this is why I love K2 (although I'm sort of getting tired of it as a design).

Re: My overly irritating $80 Wordpress theme adventure

Oh here we go again with Drupal heh ;)

Re: My overly irritating $80 Wordpress theme adventure

Time to bust out drupal site :)
